Guayaquil

Guayaquil is Ecuador's largest city, and for many is the gateway to the Galapagos Islands. Almost all flights from Quito to the Galapagos will touch down in Guayaquil en route, so it often makes sense to end your tour of Ecuador's mainland in Guayaquil and fly from there to the Galapagos. Guayaquil doesn't have much to offer in terms of tourism, however it does have great restaurants and buzzing nightlife and numerous luxury hotels that can be booked online.

Hilton Hotel Guayaquil - in our opinion, this is the second best hotel in Guayaquil. The Hilton has 300 sleek rooms, a large swimming pool, various restaurants and a casino. The Hilton Hotel is about 10 minutes from Guayaquil's airport.

Sheraton Hotel - The Sheraton hotel is good value for money, has numerous amenities including a fine outdoor swimming pool. The Sheraton hotels 150 rooms, and the hotel is just 5 minutes from Guayaquil airport.

Hampton Inn Hotel - the Hampton Inn is suitable for those on a tighter budget on their Ecuador vacation. The hotels 100 rooms aren't luxurious, but they are smart, and the hotel has a good location near the Malecon ocean front.
