A day or overnight visit to a traditional Argentine 'estancia' or ranch is a fantastic venture out of the city. Most estancias offer guests a traditional argentine bbq or parillia, horseback riding, drinking and dancing. It is a wonderful way to meet other travlers and immurse in Argentine culture, while not venturing too far from the city of Buenos Aires. Some may be more 'touristy' than others - it all depends on what you are looking for.

Also, for a great steak which Argentina is famous for, head to Cabana Las Lilas or La Estancia. La Estancia is slightly more casual
and in the downtown district but well worth it.
